A wonderful refreshing read!
What a wonderfully refreshing read from a new author. This book is an easy read but keeps you enchanted so that you don't want to put it down. Her scene descriptions are so lifelike that it makes you want to revert to that time period. I have always been a fan of Regency Romance and this one is a gem. I have already read it several times and look forward to passing it on to my other 'regency' friends!

Refreshing Change!
I must say that when my wife suggested Before The Season Ends to me, I was a bit hesitant, as I just couldn't see myself reading anything out of my normal genre of Mystery/Crime novels. I couldn't have been more wrong!! This book is an easy-read. The character are well-depicted and very likeable, and the subject matter is just what the Doctor ordered. It was indeed a refreshing change for me, and I would recommend it whole-heartedly to anyone who is looking for a well-written inspirational piece of work from a gifted author. Now I know why my wife has read it 3 times!!

Heaven-sent! I have now read this Heaven-sent book 3 times. Ms. Burkard is definitely an author with a Golden Pen from God. When I read this book, it soaked me up like water in a sponge. The well never went dry. There aren't enough words to explain this precious piece of work. From the foundations of the characters' personalities to the strong faith of Ariana, it shows how the Lord works in our lives. It has kept me at the edge of my seat! It's like a real-life adult fairytale on what Christianity really means, like the Lord is whispering through this book to teach us in a way we would understand. I could talk about this book for hours, but I really think people should experience this magically wonderful work for themselves. It's amazing. This book is one-of-a-kind, never boring, and leaves you wanting more. I'm impatiently waiting for Ms. Burkard's next book!!!

Absolute Joy!
I absolutely loved the characters in Before the Season Ends. Ms. Burkard takes you back to another time and place and holds you there from beginning to end. It's beautifully written with so much detail...I thoroughly enjoyed my trip through Regency times. I can't wait for another adventure by Linore Rose Burkard.

I got your book in the post yesterday. It didn't really take all that long to arrive did it? I was impressed with the speed and I read it straight through, I was that hooked. I think the only time I got up was to make cups of coffee, so you must be doing something right! Your writing style is so fluent as to make it very readable and I fell in love with Ariana almost at once. I just have to add that I loved the scene where all Mr. Mornay's servants came in to get a look at Ariana. I was laughing out loud for ages! That gets my vote for the best part of the book. I've never really read any books with a strong religious content but I did like this one as it was not overwhelmingly so...I really enjoyed it and have already promised to lend it to my friend!

Well-written, interesting, captivating, romantic, inspirational, and addictive, I highly recommend this book. It shows how the Lord can influence every part of your life without being overly preachy. To be honest, this was my first "inspirational" Regency romance, and I was not expecting much. However, to my surprise, I could not put it down, and I am now recommending it to all my friends.

A really nice surprise! This is definitely an original regency romance and more in the style of Georgette Heyer rather than Amanda Quick.
I was impressed that Burkard made good efforts to get a Regency Tone rather than relying on (as is often done) bad use of slang to imply this tone. Her whole structure and manner was very well done.
This is a Christian Regency and...this was my only niggle with it but I don't think it was a drawback to it - or shouldn't be... It is always nice to read new Regency authors, and I will be reading more of Burkard, as her tone and originality were refreshing.
