About the Author
(Here's the Scoop!)
/i//authorpicmod.JPG Linore Rose Burkard lives with her husband and five children in a town full of antique stores and gift shops in southwestern Ohio. She homeschooled her children for ten years. Raised in New York, she graduated magna cum laude from the City University of New York with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature.

Ms. Burkard wrote Before the Season Ends because she could not find an Inspirational Regency Romance on the bookshelves of any store. "There are Christian books that approached the genre," she says, "but they fell short of being a genuine Regency. I finally gave up looking and wrote what I was looking for myself." She has begun four other works of fiction in the category, and also enjoys writing articles, reading, parenting, family movie nights, swimming and gardening.

Linore says

"You've taken the time to visit my website, so I'm going to fill you in on a little bit more about me.

I love to read and write, and I'm allergic to cleaning (but no one believes me. I just can't figure that out). My oldest daughter is away at College and we are adapting to life without her. (sigh) My youngest, who began dancing as soon as she could stand, is back in dance classes this Fall, as well as my fifth grader. I am back to homeschooling! Only one student this time, as the littlest is 5, and my teen boys are happy in their High School. (Well--relatively happy. Neither one is the type to be delirious about school. On second thought, they're not delirious about anything, unless food counts!)

My husband, a software developer and consultant, works from home, so our household is usually humming with activity.

Good news! Harvest House Publishers is picking up Before the Season Ends and will re-issue it in a beautiful new edition! They will follow it with my sequel, The House on Grosvenor Square, which is currently in the works. (Not only does it have to be as good as Before the Season Ends, but I was interrupted from my Regency fiction altogether by a contemporary book that just bubbled up and took over my imagination--for nearly all of last summer. The Swimsuit Club was born! To meet the cast of that book and find out what they're all about, hop on over to their blog HERE (It's their blog, not mine--I'm just the author!) If you join the blog list by subscribing on that page, you'll be among the first to read excerpts, get special offers related to the book, and more, such as contests and the chance to participate in cool polls for readers.

Watch for:
  • A separate website for my Regency Christmas book
  • The blog for The House on Grosvenor Square
  • Additional volumes to follow, with cameos (at least) of your favorite characters from the first two books.

Thanks for visiting!
I appreciate your time.

Warmth and love,

Linore
